Andy StonehouseThe idea for my first book, ‘Where Are You Moosehead?’ popped into my head at 3am one morning when I couldn’t sleep. I started thinking about how much our 3 year old daughter loved her two favourite cuddly toys; a little teddy called ‘Rosie Bear’, because of the roses on her dress, and a stripy cuddly toy called ‘Moosehead’, because he looked like a moose. I thought about the adventures she shared with them and the story developed into Lily solving a mystery when she can’t find Moosehead. In the morning I got up and started illustrating, I’m not an illustrator by trade, but had always enjoyed drawing and the idea of creating a children’s picture book really appealed to me. Four books later and the ideas are still flowing! I love creating new stories and illustrating helps me relax and makes me smile. Follow Andy Stonehouse Illustrator |
Victoria StonehouseAfter I had my daughter Lily, my world changed for the better. I found so much joy in watching her grow and experience things for the first time that I wanted to capture that magic forever. I wrote ‘Lily’s Big Christmas’ after seeing Lily experience her first Christmas with excitement and joy. The Adventures of Lily book series is about a little girl who loves to play, learn and have fun with her friends and family, and the adventures and exciting things they do together. I love writing the stories and capturing those precious memories, I’m also very lucky that my husband, Andy, is so good at illustrating, as I can barely draw a stick man! |
